Every Day Progress
Sweet Pea is learning to walk on a leash, we do lots of walks together. Sometimes I let her stop and sniff things and be all over the place but mostly not. I read that one needs to be a good pack leader and that means taking charge. Not bossy mean charge but show direction and be decisive so that she knows she has a pack leader, apparently it’s more comforting for them that way, they don’t have to have the stress of being a pack leader themselves.
So far she had not gone potty inside the house for two days now. She looks at me a bit puzzled when I act overjoyed when she does something outside then she takes her treat. I have no idea if she understands that I’m praising her for that and giving reward. I’m doing the best I can as a human, we see if it works or not…
AND OH SO SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS!!!!!! She played with one of her toys today and she chased a ball as well. This is huge for her, she never played with anything before. She does little dances of joy in the kitchen too as a Pug should. I’m so happy to see her coming out of her shell.
Her playing with her toy:
We finished the pain killers and the antibiotics today. We need to continue with eye cream, ear drops and cleaning her nose crimple.
I knitted her a sweater but must have done something wrong, I took a photo of her in it before turning it back into a ball of yarn. I shall start again. Such a patient little model too.
This her in her sweater looking adorable:
She’s also learning to go in the bike basket, I have to hold on to her just to be sure but she will need to do that as an Amsterdam dog.
Right now she’s sleeping peacefully next to me in her own little bed. She slept under the blankets next to me last night, I know that’s not very pack leader of me but she’s so cute it was too hard to say no.
